Jaffna Cultural Podium

4 visualisations

A civic and cultural landmark for Jaffna, composed around a central domed pavilion and clock tower, the Cultural Podium draws on the region’s colonial-era architectural heritage and reinterprets it at a monumental civic scale. Set within landscaped grounds and reflecting water, the complex is choreographed to address the city from multiple approaches Vaiththilingam Thuraichchami Road, Pullu Kulam, the Esplanade and the clock-tower forecourt giving Jaffna a dignified new venue for learning, gathering and cultural life. The programme brings together seminar halls, a conference hall and auditorium, research laboratories, a library and an audio-visual unit.
