The primary challenge was to accommodate hospitality functions with minimal ecological disturbance, preserving existing trees, natural drainage patterns, and the character of the forest. Lightweight construction methods, carefully positioned structures, and passive environmental strategies reduce the project’s physical footprint while enhancing the experience of the landscape. Beyond sustainability, the retreat embraces a regenerative approach by strengthening the relationship between people and place, encouraging environmental stewardship, and supporting the long-term resilience of the ecosystem. The result is a destination where nature, architecture, and human well-being exist in a balanced and mutually enriching relationship.
